DBT Skills Group

Do you want to feel better, increase your connection with others, and build greater resiliency to face life’s challenges? If so, our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group may be just what you need.

About our group

Our online group meets weekly on Monday evenings.

DBT is rooted in an evidence evidence-based therapy that combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices. Group members tell us they love the specific guidance in resolving issues and ability to connect with others having similar experiences.

Whether you're seeking relief from depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or the aftermath of trauma, our DBT Skills Group can provide you with valuable tools to empower positive change in your life.

Group objectives

DBT teaches four core modules:

  • Mindfulness Practice: Increase your ability to stay present to reduce stress and increase self-awareness.

  • Emotional Regulation: Learn to identify and manage intense emotions in healthy and constructive ways, reducing emotional reactivity and impulsivity.

  • Distress Tolerance: Develop coping skills to help you tolerate and survive crisis situations without resorting to problematic behaviors.

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Improve your communication skills, assertiveness, and conflict resolution abilities, fostering more rewarding and satisfying relationships.

DBT also encourages self-acceptance and self-compassion, teaches problem solving skills, and helps members learn to identify and cope with triggers.
